SykesPrimax (the registered trade mark of Sykes Group in North America) has successfully completed and delivered a well point dewatering pump solution to compliment an infrastructure project in South Florida, USA.
The Client, Cherokee Dewatering, required an urgent solution to quickly dewater via approximately 300 lf of header pipe at a barrier island location, entailing sandy soil conditions, heavy infiltration and numerous jobsites hazards. Additionally, the project required uninterrupted operation with minimal noise and a challenging time frame with the dewatering program commencing only 4 weeks from the pump purchased date.
The solution delivered by SykesPrimax team to client specifications, was an electric 75 HP driven 60 cfm air handling 8” pump, base mounted high volume CP220i, considering both operational efficiency and safety. Key benefits taken into consideration were the electric power, keeping noise at a minimum level and the maintenance free of the oil-less vacuum pump, saving refueling time and numerous trips to the jobsite by client personnel.
The pump was assembled and tested in Australia and quickly air freighted to the USA. A week prior to the scheduled delivery, the customer requested an additional NEMA4 enclosed soft start panel to be installed on the unit. Thanks to the dedication of our American team, SykesPrimax reported a successful pump installation, right on time.
