Sykes Group have been given exclusive rights to distribute the Impulse Piston Pump range in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania. This exciting news has already resulted in numerous pumps being sold and many more on order.

Whilst we have successfully manufactured wellpointing pumps over the years and continues to do so, there was a product gap within Sykes Group portfolio for a smaller and different technological pump to meet an existing demand in the market place. Extensive product research and evaluation led to Impulse Pumps and the beginning of a long lasting relationship.

Wellpoint dewatering system enables the lowering of the groundwater table for safe excavation below the normal point. The principle of well pointing is simple: individual wells or wellpoints are installed around the proposed excavations and connected via a suction header pipe to a surface mounted pump with the capacity to evacuate the suction pipework, automatically priming the pump. Pumping from the wellpoint installation allows lowering of the ground water within the area, for the excavation to take place in safe work conditions.

Impulse Pumps is a Dutch based company that specialise in the manufacture of reliable, heavy duty wellpointing piston pumps in various open and acoustic unit configurations. They have been operating in the construction segment for many years and pride themselves on their continuous improvement philosophy, based on customer feedback, and on providing pumping solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Sykes Group will offer a range of Impulse Piston Pumps in various configurations such as electric, diesel and combined electric/diesel driven in both acoustic enclosure and open style units. In addition to the standard features, the Ecomizer pump control panel which allows automatic stop/start, remote monitoring/telemetry and extra functionalities, will be available through Sykes Group.
