In a recent project, our client Sydney Civil who were a lead company in the construction of the Sydney Olympic Village for the Olympic Games, was looking to expand the capabilities of their traffic management content. They were specifically after a mobile lighting solution that was proven, hard wearing and extremely well supported in the market place, but most importantly met the capabilities required.
Primarily, they needed a safe and bright tower to be used in pedestrian applications and to be positioned very close to a road intersection upgrade. This means, the lighting solution had to offer the highest level of light output without interfering in the line of sight of on-coming traffic. The specifications also required a compact and robust unit, with adjustable light heads, quiet, maneuverable and cost effective.
Our Sykes Group TL90 XTRA LED light tower, known as the second to none in the industry, proved to be the perfect fit for this project, delivering reliability, efficiency and meeting the exact volume of light our client expected for a safe road and pedestrian application.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Sydney Civil has hired light products which had come from multiple manufacturers, but ultimately as a result of the performance of the SMC TL90, the company chose to purchase their own equipment for this specific application.
Our client was fully satisfied with the mobile lighting solution and has placed them in an application which is expected to go for a period of approximately 12 months.
